When sailing after dusk, the boat must have the navigation lights turned on.

  • We have a red light for the port side and a green light for the starboard side near the bow, and a white stern light as well as a steaming light and an anchor light.

  • If the engine is on, then the steaming light at the mast must be turned on as well. It must be off while sailing.

  • If the boat is anchored, only the anchor light (360 degrees white) at the top of the mast must be on while the other lights are turned off.

  • Displaying the proper navigation lights from dusk to dawn is required by law.
